About Us

This golf Stay and Play package is being offered to you by member communities of the Dakota Heartland Champion Community, a regional economic development organization comprised of volunteers from   the rural communities of Wishek, Ashley, Napoleon, Kulm, Edgeley, Lehr and Zeeland. Supported by USDA Rural Development, the DHCC volunteers meet regularly to discuss ways we can share resources and knowledge for the betterment of all our cities.

What drives us
The   DHCC's Mission   is to encourage   cooperation, develop   partnerships and   build leadership   capacity to promote growth in our communities. In other words, we exist to promote a spirit of working together in true North Dakota fashion so that we can all live better!     As a group, the DHCC works to promote and support safe communities, a healthy environment, a strong work ethic, the wonderful outdoor recreational opportunities of the region and the family-oriented German culture and heritage of our forefathers.

Current DHCC directors include Chairman James Ruff, Lehr; Sherrece Zimmerman, Ashley, Bill Klein, Ashley, Bruce Lindgren, Kulm, Richard Gross, Napoleon, Gene Hanson, Edgeley, Tom Lovik, Wishek, and Robert Schumacher, Zeeland. The DHCC is a volunteer organization. Members give their time and talent to attend meetings, share their knowledge and learn about projects in other communities that may impact their own cities. Sharing ideas, knowledge and resources is at the core of the Champion Community philosophy. As we help each other, we help ourselves.
